  A JWN Member just lost her Husband and She could use some encouragement.

  on 4/6, the poster orphan annie posted about her experiences with jw's and her ill husband.

  unfortunately, her husband died monday, and she is feeling very sad.

  i just wanted to make others aware of it, so that we can encourage her and give her some much needed support during this rough time.. her original thread is here.

  Thank you everyone. Ohiocowboy.... you actually helped me more than you will ever know and I am forever grateful. I don't like posting as I am a private person. In a moment of sadness and or anger, I posted that post and can't take it back. But, because of it, I met a wonderful new friend. OC, I had some stories to tell didn't I? Thanks to everyone for their kind words to me. The death of my husband has been the most horrible experience of my life. I want him back.

  Memorial is more important than dying relative!

  My husband is gravely ill sedated and on a ventilator. He most likely isn't going to survive. We are not disfellowshipped. We just walked away 20 or so years ago. Some relatives will speak to us causiously and some are strict no contact. We live in another state than the relatives. Some of them flew/drove in to see him before he dies. Why now after all these years. They suddenly had to leave Wednesday for so called doctor appointments etc. They were nervous and anxious over just having to leave Wednesday. I couldn't figure out why. I said can't you cancel? Well, no if we do we will get charged for a cancellation blah blah blah. Then it dawned on me, Memorial is sometime soon. Didn't pay any attention to when it was because I don't care. Sure enough, yesterday I got a call to see how he was on their way to the Memorial. Couldn't they go to a Memorial in our state if they absolutely had to go? But, nooooooo, they had to go to their own local hall. They never mentioned the Memorial at all when they were here. The excuse they had to leave was so called doctor appointments. More than one had these mysterious doctor appointments. I had to tell everyone about these selfish, lying, sneaky people. Thanks for listening. My husband is dying and I am feeling so awful. I want to throw up and faint at the same time. This is so hard.

  Quandry, thanks for the warning, but don't worry about me. I have been shunned for 20 yrs. and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I expect it!

  GoddessRachel, I hope you will get your wish one day. Those poor children have been denied their Aunt. You can only hope that when they become adults they will be able to get out of this cult. I am trying to make contact with my nephews. I can't expect them to contact me. They don't know me. It is my responsibility.

  MrsJones5, I know I was being pretty vague on the area they are from. Elder Dad gives talks throughout N.Cal. so I was hoping someone might know of them. As I give out bits of other info I don't want anyone to narrow it down to them. But, I will give out details and names in a PM.

  To the rest, I sent PM's, except MrsJones5, I can't figure out how to send a new PM. I just know how to reply. This is all new to me. Sorry, and thanks for your reply.

  Hello everyone! This is my first post. I was a born in JW and baptised as a teen. I have faded over 20 yrs. ago, and have almost forgotten all of my JW past. EXCEPT for SOME of my family. I have been shunned because, well actually I really don't what their reason is, they aren't telling me. I have some UBER DUBER relatives that I have wrote off as hopeless, and I am way over them. The reason I am inquiring on this forum about them is, THEY HAVE CHILDREN. They are now officially all over age 18! I can contact them. What are my chances? Are they uber dubers and I should forget it, or are they just hangin in there? Or better yet OUT!

  Anyone who has been in N. Cal for the past 30 yrs. probably knows them. I don't want to mention their names. Please pm me and we can go from there.
